1. A short summary
RosterPod uses account, roster, subscription, and technical information to provide fantasy-baseball reports, operate accounts and billing, send requested and service-related email, secure and improve the Service, and comply with law.
We do not sell personal information for money. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we do not use the Service to target advertising based on your activity across unrelated websites or apps. We do not ask for or store your full payment-card number; Stripe processes card payments.
Please do not send us passwords for your fantasy-platform accounts, government identification numbers, payment-card numbers, medical records, or other sensitive personal information that is not needed for RosterPod.
2. Personal information we collect
The types of information we collect depend on how you use the Service.
Information you provide directly
We collect information you choose to provide, including:
* Account information: name, email address, password or other account-authentication information, and account preferences.
* Roster and league information: fantasy roster details, league settings, scoring settings, roster names, player selections, screenshots, and other information you submit to create reports.
* Report and delivery preferences: report settings, saved reports, email-delivery preferences, and feedback.
* Support communications: messages, questions, and information you send to us by email or through support.
* Subscription information: selected plan, active-roster entitlement, subscription status, and billing-related identifiers or records. We do not receive or store full payment-card numbers.
Information collected automatically
When you use the Service, we or our service providers may automatically collect:
* Technical and log information: IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, dates and times of access, pages or reports viewed, referring pages, error logs, and security-related events.
* Cookie and local-storage information: information needed to keep you signed in, remember settings, protect the Service, and operate basic site functions.
* Usage information: actions within the Service, such as adding or deleting a roster, changing report preferences, or viewing a report.
Information from service providers and third parties
We receive limited information from providers that help operate the Service, such as:
* Stripe, which provides payment status, transaction identifiers, and subscription information;
* email and infrastructure providers, which may provide delivery, bounce, security, and technical information; and
* sports-data providers, which provide baseball-related data used in reports.
We do not receive your full card number from Stripe. RosterPod does not ask you to provide a fantasy-platform password. If a future product offers a direct fantasy-platform connection or social login, we will update this policy before collecting information through it.
3. How we use personal information
We use personal information to:
* create and manage accounts;
* receive, process, and analyze roster and league information and create reports;
* display reports and send reports and service messages by email;
* administer subscriptions, roster-slot limits, refunds, cancellations, and payments;
* respond to support requests and communicate with you;
* maintain, troubleshoot, secure, test, and improve the Service;
* detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, security incidents, and violations of our Terms of Service;
* comply with legal obligations and enforce our rights; and
* create and use de-identified or aggregated information that does not reasonably identify you, for analytics and product improvement.
We do not use identifiable roster information to provide services to other customers.
4. How we disclose personal information
We disclose personal information only as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including to the following categories of recipients:
* Service providers. We use providers that process information on our behalf to operate the Service. They may include Supabase for account, database, and storage services; Render for hosting and infrastructure; Postmark for email delivery; Stripe for payment processing and billing; and sports-data providers for baseball data. Providers may receive only the information reasonably needed for their services.
* Professional advisers and business transfers. We may disclose information to lawyers, accountants, insurers, or potential acquirers, investors, or successors in connection with advice, financing, due diligence, a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets.
* Legal, safety, and security recipients. We may disclose information when we reasonably believe it is necessary to comply with law, respond to lawful process, protect the rights, safety, or property of RosterPod or others, investigate fraud or security issues, or enforce our agreements.
* With your direction or consent. We may disclose information when you ask us to do so or give consent.
We do not sell personal information for money. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. If that changes, we will update this policy and provide any required notice, consent, or opt-out mechanism before the change takes effect.
5. Cookies and similar technologies
RosterPod uses cookies, local storage, and similar technologies that are necessary for authentication, security, account preferences, and basic operation of the Service. You can generally remove or block cookies using your browser settings, but doing so may prevent sign-in or other Service features from working.
RosterPod does not currently use advertising cookies or third-party targeted-advertising pixels.
6. Retention and deletion
We retain personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including to provide the Service, meet tax or accounting obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and protect the Service.
The following are RosterPod’s recommended beta retention periods. They are commitments only if the Service and its providers are configured to follow them:
Information
Recommended retention period
Account profile and active subscription information
While the account is active, then 30 days after account-deletion request, unless we need it longer for a legal or security reason
Roster data and screenshots
While the applicable roster or account is active, then 30 days after deletion or account-closure request
Saved reports
While the account is active, then 90 days after account closure, unless deleted earlier or retained for a legal or security reason
Support messages
Up to 2 years after the last interaction
Payment and tax records, transaction identifiers, and refund records
Up to 7 years, or longer if required by law
Security and access logs
Up to 90 days, unless needed to investigate an incident or enforce our rights
Backups
Up to 35 days after deletion from active systems
Deletion from active systems may not immediately remove information from backups. We will isolate or protect deleted information and remove it in the ordinary backup cycle unless a longer period is needed for law, security, fraud prevention, or a dispute. We may retain de-identified or aggregated information without a time limit.
7. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. These include access controls and service-provider security measures appropriate to the nature of the Service. No internet service or storage system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
You are responsible for using a strong, unique password and protecting your account credentials. Tell us promptly at jcvfantasysports@gmail.com if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.
8. Your choices and privacy requests
You may update certain account information through the Service. You may cancel a subscription through the billing portal described in the Terms of Service. Deleting a roster does not cancel a subscription.
You may request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a copy of personal information we hold about you by emailing jcvfantasysports@gmail.com with the subject line “Privacy Request.” Please identify the email address associated with your account and the request you are making. We may need to verify your identity before responding. If we cannot verify a request, we may ask for additional information or be unable to complete it.
Where applicable law gives you additional rights—including rights to know, access, correct, delete, receive a portable copy, opt out of certain processing, or appeal a privacy-rights decision—we will honor those rights as required by law. We will not discriminate against you for exercising an applicable privacy right.
If we deny a privacy request, you may ask us to reconsider by replying to our decision within 30 days with the subject line “Privacy Request Appeal.” We will review the appeal and respond as required by applicable law. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to contact your state attorney general or other regulator.
9. California disclosures
This section supplements the rest of this policy for California residents. It is intended to describe RosterPod’s practices at beta launch and should be reviewed if RosterPod reaches a size or activity level that triggers additional California requirements.
In the preceding 12 months, RosterPod may have collected the following categories of personal information: identifiers (such as name, email address, IP address, and account identifiers); commercial information (such as plan, subscription, transaction, and refund information); internet or network activity (such as log and usage information); user content (such as roster, league, and report-preference information); and inferences drawn from these categories to provide reports or personalize the Service.
We collect these categories from you, automatically from your device or browser, and from service providers. We use them for the purposes in Section 3 and disclose them to the categories of recipients in Section 4.
RosterPod does not sell personal information and does not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. RosterPod does not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16.
California residents may submit access, correction, deletion, and portability requests using the method in Section 8. Authorized agents may submit a request for a California resident, but we may ask for proof of authorization and verify the consumer’s identity directly where permitted by law.
10. Children’s privacy
RosterPod is for adults age 18 and older and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 gave us personal information, contact jcvfantasysports@gmail.com so we can take appropriate action.
11. International users
RosterPod is operated from the United States and is intended for U.S. users. If you use it from another country, your information may be processed in the United States and other places where our service providers operate. RosterPod is not currently intended to offer the Service to people in jurisdictions that require privacy terms or mechanisms beyond those in this policy.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when our practices, Service, or legal obligations change. We will post the revised policy at https://rosterpod.app/privacy, change the effective date, and provide additional notice when required by law or appropriate for a material change.

The Word: public X commentary — supplemental notice, updated October 20, 2026
The Word uses public baseball commentary from selected X accounts. RosterPod collects post identifiers, public author names and handles, publication times, source links, and relevant reporting to produce attributed player-news summaries for reports and, where enabled, podcasts. We match news to baseball players on your roster; we do not send your account identity or email address to X for this feature.
We use xAI Grok to interpret source posts and help write summaries with our xAI API Zero Data Retention and training-disabled controls enabled. Raw source text is not retained with published summaries in our production summary workflow. Reports retain attribution, source links, and the information needed to correct or remove affected items.
Web reports display original X posts in collapsible The Word sections. Posts load automatically from X as they appear on screen in an expanded section. Loading an embedded post connects your browser to X, which receives information about that connection under its privacy policy. RosterPod requests X's do-not-track setting for these widgets; this does not prevent the connection to X. You can collapse The Word before reaching a post to prevent it from loading. Collapsing a post that has already loaded does not undo earlier connections. Selecting Read original post opens X. See X's privacy policy and available privacy choices at https://x.com/en/privacy.
We check included posts daily for seven days after report publication. Older items may remain available without further scheduled checks. Known deletions, protected posts, corrections and removal requests are handled through our source-removal process. Previously delivered emails and downloaded audio cannot be recalled.
For a source correction, author opt-out or removal request, email jcvfantasysports@gmail.com with the post link and, if available, the RosterPod report link.
